Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Lucerne by train from the Swiss border or airport.
Overnight in Lucerne.
Lucerne
Shopping, nightlife, boat trip on Lake Lucerne, sightseeing in old town, Transport Museum, excursions to Engelberg, Mt. Titlis and Mt. Pilatus
Day 2
Board the historic Wilhelm Tell paddle steamer for the cruise to Flüelen. From Flüelen you continue your journey through the famous Gotthard tunnel via Bellinzona to Lugano.
Overnight in Lugano.
Lugano
Monte Brè (925 m) – Lugano’s closest mountain can be reached by funicular railway from Cassarate on the outskirts of Lugano. Wonderful panorama of the town, lake and mountains, stretching right over the border into Italy.
Day 3
In Lugano you get to experience the Mediterranean atmosphere and charm of food and architecture. Overnight in Lugano.
St. Moritz
In addition to indulging in traditional sports, such as hiking and climbing, holidaymakers can enjoy sailing, windsurfing or a rubber dinghy ride on the River Inn.
Day 4
Departure with the famous Bernina Express to Tirano (Italy). From there by train over Mt. Bernina to St. Moritz.
Overnight in St. Moritz.
Zermatt
Explore Zermatt at the foot of the Matterhorn, electric cars and horse-drawn sleighs and carriages with optional excursions to Gornergrat, Matterhorn Glacier Paradise or Rothorn.
Day 5
Day off for excursions.
Overnight in St. Moritz.
Day 6
Today you board the Glacier Express from St. Moritz to Zermatt. You travel over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels across the Oberalp Pass at 2,033 meters in altitude. Overnight in Zermatt.
Day 7
Full day at leisure in Zermatt. Overnight in Zermatt.
Day 8
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland according to your own plans.
