Grindelwald-First – Top of Adventure.

Grindelwald-First is a short 25-minute gondola journey from the village of Grindelwald (33 min by train from Interlaken Ost). Here, visitors can enjoy adventure activities like ziplining, trottibiking and mountain carting. The “First Cliff Walk” suspension bridge provides beautiful views of the region, including the Eiger north face.

Harder Kulm – Top of Interlaken

A panorama funicular leads visitors to Harder Kulm (1322 m above sea level), Interlaken’s home mountain. The viewing platform on top allows visitors to look down on to the quaint Swiss town and its surrounding mountains and lakes. The lovely restaurant on top serves delicious local fare, as well as some Indian dishes.

Schilthorn – Piz Gloria

Schilthorn (2970 m above sea level) provides a stunning360-degree view of the surrounding region. The James Bond film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” was filmed on the mountain and is honoured through the “Bond World” and “007 Walk of Fame” exhibits. The revolving restaurant Piz Gloria serves the famous “James Bond Brunch” and “007 Burger”.

Mürren`

The cosy, car-free mountain village of Mürren lies at the foot of Schilthorn. At 1650 m above sea level, it is the highest continuously inhabited village in the Jungfrau Region. Meiringen

Located on the southeast end of Lake Brienz, the village of Meiringen is a 30-minute train ride from Interlaken Ost. The Sherlock Holmes Museum located near the train station pays tribute to the great detective and his story.

Brienz

The village of Brienz is located on the eastern end of Lake Brienz, and can be reached by train or boat. Nicknamed the “Village of Wood Carving”, Brienz has a long tradition of wood processing, and even houses a school of carving and violin-making. Travellers to Brienz can also visit the Ballenberg Open Air Museum, an exhibition of over 100 authentically reconstructed historical Swiss agricultural houses, buildings and farms.
